I've always seen the poster and always wanted to watch, but never motivated myself to because it looked too plain... and I was right! Orphan has a lot of clichés and stereotypes of regular horror films which I disliked. Some scenes really had me captivated and entertained, but there was a lot of dullness and not enough of pizazz or love towards characters that held it from being a must watch. The acting is good by the child stars, though. The suspense is good at points while at others it's not. The plot twist was a real cheap shot because the audience was already aware of what was going on. I'm not going to spoil it, but I'll only say that it didn't even have to occur. There could've been an easier way of making a twist, although it didn't even need to happen. It seems like there were a some ups and downs, coming to the result that it's nothing more than okay. I'd recommend watching Orphan with a friend because it's entertaining and will keep your interest, but isn't anything out of the ordinary. 5/10.
