I hate to get all dark on y'all but it's crazy how you get different perspectives in hard times than you do when everything is peachy. Philippians 4:13 is probably one of the most famous verses in the Bible. We've all heard it. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It sounds about as cheerful and uplifting as you can get, right? But Paul wrote that while he was in Prison waiting to hear whether he would be executed or released. In the verses before that famous one he references being content in no matter what circumstances he finds himself. While he has had good times in his life he references learning to be content even when he is being belittled, degraded, hungry, and suffering. It's then he Goes on to say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens him". Kinda depressing actually until you find yourself going through difficulty and put your problems into perspective of what he had to go through. Let's face it. We often times feel like we've been abandoned in hard times. But it's exactly in those difficult times of weakness that Christ gives us the strength to go through it. This bracelet reminds me of that when I look at it. It's not just during the happy (#Blessed) things. It's ALL THINGS! That's the promise we have.
