The Rotator Cuff. 🏋🏾🤸♂️🏊🏻♀️🤽♂️ Commonly defined as: ⚠️
"The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that surround the shoulder joint, keeping the head of your upper arm bone firmly within the shallow socket of the shoulder. A rotator cuff injury can cause a dull ache in the shoulder 😩, which often worsens when you try to sleep on the involved side." The caution with this perspective is that it refers to the "shoulder joint" as only where the humerus sits in it's glenoid fossa. 🤔
The better way ✅ to think about how the rotator cuff muscles operate optimally is when they are supported by the rest of the shoulder (scapula, clavicle & rib cage) when looking at it globally. 💪 If the supporting muscles of your shoulder aren't working, your rotator cuff muscles will be working over time to pick up the slack and therefore end up in pain and/or injured. 😵
Common misconception which when looked at from a global perspective can clear up a lot of painful issues.😡👉😁 Next Bullet Proof Your Shoulders Workshop in 8 days away (next Saturday).. comment below if you want in & I'll PM you the details, spots almost full.
